What is the mission of the church? What is the purpose and mission of every follower of Jesus? To do the same thing He asked His followers to do in the 1st century. To “Go and make disciples of all nations ... Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.” This is called the Great Commission. It is the Great Mission. Jesus is calling us to join a long line of followers and express His love and proclaim His Gospel to the world. The mission of the church is to take the Gospel across the street and around the world, and every Christian plays a role in that mission.

Golfing Fore Children
Golfing Fore Children is an annual golf tournament sponsored by Lake Arrowhead Church to benefit various organizations and ministries that help needy children. This year will be the 34th year of the tournament. Proceeds fund our partnerships with Goshen Valley Foundation, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, MUST Ministries, Operation Christmas Child, Mega Sports Camp, The Pregnancy Center, and our partnership with Cherokee County Schools.
Goshen Valley Foundation
The Goshen Valley Boys Ranch, located on 160 acres in northern Cherokee County, is home to around 50 young boys in foster care ages 8-18. All boys participate in therapeutic counseling, public school education, and a comprehensive recreation program, all while living in a unique, family-based home. The goal is for every boy to know the safety of a home, the love of a family, and the hope of a future.
Fellowship of Christian Athletes
MUST Ministries
FCA is a Christian sports ministry working to impact the world for Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes. We support FCA in Cherokee County and at Reinhardt University. Each summer, our church also sponsors Mega Sports Camp for grades 1-8 in Lake Arrowhead.
MUST Ministries has helped needy families in Cherokee County for over 30 years, providing food, clothing, employment assistance, and emergency housing.
Operation Christmas Child
Shepherd's Hook
Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan's Purse, which provides spiritual and physical need to hurting people around the world. Each year, our church prepares several hundred Christmas shoeboxes - packed with toys, school supplies, and a copy of the Gospel - to children around the world.
Shepherd's Hook is part of our women's ministry which meets to knit and crochet for various causes in our community. This past year, the efforts of Shepherd's Hook helped 16 different ministries.
Missions India
The Pregnancy Center
Out of India's 2, 153 people groups, 90% are unreached with the Gospel. Our church is honored to partner with Mission India in their church planting strategy. Our financial support goes to train two church planting pastors each year, and also host several literacy programs for adults and Bible clubs for children.
Adam & Laura Watson - London
Adam & Laura Watson serve with Commission Global in London. They are church planters and trainers of other church leaders and missionaries around the world. Their US sending agency is New International located in Florida.
Cherokee County Schools
We are honored to partner with Cherokee County Schools Student Services program, which provides food, health services, and counseling to needy students. Approximately one-third of county children are in the supplemental lunch program and in need of food on the weekend. Help may be in the form of grocery cards, gas cards, and even housing.
The Pregnancy Center in Jasper offers a pro-life alternative to unplanned pregnancy, compassionate and confidential care, clothing and supplies, and Christian discipleship to the expectant mother and her partner.
